Kent-based Swale Heating has appointed a new finance director with extensive financial leadership experience to support its ambitious programme of expansion.
Andy Ellis joined the company following a successful career at two large multi-national engineering and construction businesses.
Swale Heating, one of the largest independently owned heating firms in the UK, employs around 500 people with plans to double in size in the next five years and extend its operations more widely across the country.
Andy said: “One of the main attractions of joining Swale Heating is the clear commitment to investing in people and the technologies which can take the business to the next level. The business has a long history of success and the senior team has the full support of the owner in taking the business through these ambitious growth plans.”
Swale Heating has recently implemented a sophisticated operational management system which among other benefits is providing quality information about business operations to support the team in managing the business, and in turn, further improving customer service. The new system helps maintain an engaged workforce and provides efficient service delivery to encourage continued profitable growth and helps to support the field engineers whose performance is crucial to the success of the business.
Andy added: “My number one focus is to make sure the business has the right financial and operational data to support effective decision making and ensure greater profitability and the success that comes with it.”
