Fernox’s year long 50th anniversary celebrations has culminated in Rob Nicholls, of Nicholls Heating and Plumbing in Tamworth, walking away with a grand prize of £50,000 worth of heating and plumbing products.
As part of its 50th celebrations, Fernox launched its year long 50th Anniversary Promotion back in January 2014. To enter the prize draw, installers just had to purchase any special promotional pack from the company’s range of cleaners and in-line system filters; and register the prize code on-line.
Over 9,400 codes were entered, and each month one winner won £600 worth of Fernox products. However, it was 23-year-old Rob Nicholls, from father and son business, Nicholls Heating and Plumbing, that was ultimately named the winner of the largest ever prize fund in the plumbing and heating industry – following the draw made by Woking Mayor, Tony Branagan, on December 1.
“I couldn’t quite take it in at first,” says Rob, who was working at the time.
“It’s just my father Gary Nicholls and me on the tools. We’re only a small family business set up by my grandfather Robert almost 50 years ago, so such a substantial win is going to make a huge difference to our cash flow.
“We do around four to five new installs every month and always fit a Fernox TF1 Total Filter and an Electrolytic Scale Reducer, as well as using Fernox’s range of chemical water treatments.” The winning code was from a Fernox Cleaner F3 product.
Ernie McDonald, director for Fernox, said:
“The greatest pleasure we’ve taken in our 50th anniversary celebrations is sharing our success with our customers. We are absolutely delighted for Rob and his father and hope that our 50th Anniversary Promotion will greatly benefit their business going forward.”
