Talented apprentice plumbers are being encouraged to register for this year’s SkillPLUMB 2015 competition.
During the competition, entrants will be judged on a series of challenging practical tests in a bid to be named the 2015 SkillPLUMB champion.
The event, designed to promote and showcase high standards and skills across the plumbing industry, is organised by BPEC and has the Copper Initiative as its sponsor.
Between April and June, there will be a number of regional events across the UK. Those who score most highly will progress to a UK final held in November at the Skills Show, one of the UK’s largest skills and careers show, with over 80,000 visitors.
Competitors may also have the chance to represent their country and compete at international level at future WorldSkills events.
Neil Collishaw, of BPEC, said: “Each year the quality demonstrated by our industry’s young people is astounding. I encourage all budding apprentices to enter the competition and we look forward to the excellent standards we’ll be witnessing from competitors again this year.”
The application window closes on March 20. Call: 0800 612 0742 or visit: https://worldskillsuk.org/
