Turkuaz has been trading in the UK for over two years with a small number of original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and bathroom product distributors.
Mike Campbell, founder and CEO of Asia Europe Trading (AET), said: “Our main customers are handled directly through our international trade department in Turkey; the increasing demands of our customers and the ever difficult trading conditions of the global market and particularly the UK market, has meant competing on price alone was enough.”
Early in 2013 AET Co, formed a strategic partnership with Turkuaz to build the UK division of the Turkuaz Global operation. The main emphasis was to secure the already established UK customers and to formulate new partnerships for a new generation of products and brands with a suitable OEM and distribution strategy that suits the products, the brands and the customer.
Turkuaz is now driving a plan designed to meet current UK bathroom trends and to set new design innovations. The company would like to share these products with new potential customers during 2015.
Many of the products and brands have different channels to market and Mike sees the need to manage the correct products and brands to the correct customers. These products include water saving technologies, for both domestic and commercial applications, wall fittings that can stand the test of time coupled with styling that meets the ever-discerning demands of consumer and commercial markets.
Mike said: “In Turkey, we are now one of the biggest manufacturers of ceramics by volume and cash turnover. With the recent commissioning of a new state-of-the-art furnace, we have just increased our production yearly capacity from 2,600,000 pieces to well in excess of 4,200,000 pieces, this represents an investment in 2014 to over €15,000,000.
“So for our UK development we are ready to go and we welcome enquiries from bathroom products distributors and OEM’s that operate in the commercial and domestic markets.”
