The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) and German plumbing and heating design software company, Willms GmbH, have agreed an exclusive strategic alliance.
Both organisations will work together, supporting the future education of the industry. This will include new qualifications at various levels. A webinar is set to be produced, which will show how the next generation of plumbing and heating engineers can benefit from computer aided design software.
Paul Harmer, CIPHE technical director, said: “HT2000 CAE is a very versatile piece of software. It can be used to produce fully integrated plumbing and heating designs, which can include hot and cold water services, drainage, radiator design, underfloor heating design, MVHR and heat loss. This software is already being used by many leading brands around the world.
“I believe that this software is a huge step towards supporting the future education of the plumbing and heating industry and helps strengthen the ‘Proud to be a Professional’ campaign.”
Paul has put together a short video on YouTube to show some of the functions of HT2000 CAE. To view the video, visit: http://ow.ly/u4YO302ZaMw.
The CIPHE is currently working on creating some unique qualifications and training from Level 3 up to MSc Level in plumbing and heating and this software will be an asset to the institute’s strategic plan.
